Scottish Country Dancing is a social style of folk dance danced toexhilarating Scottish reels, jigs and strathspeys and enjoyed all around theworld. Similar to some ceilidh dances you will dance with a partner in sets ofother couples, exercising your mind with interlocking formations and your bodywith energetic, precise movements. It is also ideal for meeting new people ofall ages as you will continually change partners throughout a session. Wiwat! Cambridge was formed in September 2012 and performs folk songs and dances from around Poland. Poland has a rich folk tradition with a variety of regional songs, dances and costumes and we are very pleased to be presenting a section of these at the Big Weekend on Sunday 15 July. The dances are lively and the costumes very colourful - and part of our session will have some audience participation so please join us.
Elementz Ent. was founded back in September 2006 by Lindon Barr. The company is a collective of dancers from all over the UK, based in Cambridge & London. Elementz Ent. specialises in Hip Hop/Street Dance although company members are also trained in many styles of dance including Ballet, Contemporary, Tap & Jazz.
