Cambridge based Swagger, a five-piece funk, rock and cheese band; followed by Ultimate Elton and The Rocket Band - Crocodile Rock, I’m Still Standing, Candle in the Wind, Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me -   hailed by record producer, Stuart Epps as ‘simply the best Elton tribute you will see or hear anywhere.’ The music finishes with some 90s style ‘I’m Too Sexy’ pop nostalgia from multi-platinum and Ivor Novello award-winning band Right Said Fred.

Saturday features country rockabilly from Jacen Bruce and his band Hold Fast, an exciting new rockabilly project formed by the writing team of Jacen Bruce and Tim Slater. Focusing on catchy upbeat original material, fuelled by Tim's wild rockin' guitar. Also gracing the stage will be Going Back To Memphis is the first original track recorded from the upcoming debut album. Words and music, lead vocals, backing vocals and lead guitar Tim Slater. Rhythm guitar and backing vocals Jacen Bruce. Upright slap bass Donny Brown. Drums Rob Watson.

In the evening two big headliners finish off a day of incredible music, legendary reggae producer, songwriter, performer, dub innovator and musical genius Lee Scratch Perry with fellow heavyweight Mad Professor followed by classic ska and reggae from The Neville Staple Band.

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond his control Imran Khan will not be able to perform at The Big Weekend today. There is still a fantastic programme of activity including the Cambridge Mela and we look forward to seeing you there!

Sunday at the Big Weekend will feature the ever popular Cambridge Mela, celebrating Asian culture. Performing on the Main Stage: bhangra superstars, RSVP Bhangra, DJ Sonny Ji. East Beatz West and Mela headliner, Dutch-Pakistani singer-songwriter Imran Khan!
