Dame Evelyn Glennie, Artist in Residence for the 2015/16 Cambridge Classical Concert Series, is one of the most uniquely inspirational musicians and creative percussionists in the world.

Find out about her fascinating life and work in this unique 'in conversation' event, in which she will illustrate her inspirational approach by performing a range of pieces with her long-standing collaborator and pianist Philip Smith.

Special guest interviewer Libby Purves is a broadcaster, theatre reviewer and author, best known to many as the presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Midweek.

Organisers of the prestigious Polar Music Prize 2015, awarded to Dame Evelyn Glennie, said: "She has widened our understanding of what music is and shown us that listening is only partly to do with our ears. Everyone, whatever their physical circumstances, can perceive and perform music, can feel and convey good vibrations…Evelyn Glennie shows us that the body is a resonance chamber and that we live in a universe of sound."
