Currently mid-way through a sold out UK run of dates, Jamie Lawson has today announced a huge 16 date autumn tour, including one night at the Corn Exchange.

Last year, Jamie was announced as the first signing to Ed Sheeran’s own label Gingerbread Man Records. In the whirlwind that followed, Jamie toured with Ed across the world, went from playing to 150 people at London’s Barfly to supporting One Direction on their final full UK arena tour. His self-titled album, released in October 2015, reached #1 in the UK and has sold over a quarter of a million copies worldwide. Furthermore, his juggernaut single Wasn’t Expecting That has to date sold over 400k copies in the UK.

Jamie originally hails from Plymouth, and his journey can be only explained as an epic one. It took time for him to find his voice, even longer for him to hone his songs in the sparse, poetic language he has made very much his own. Though he maintained a core, loyal following that has supported him throughout, only now has that started to blossom into something far bigger.

Recent months have seen Jamie playing to over 175,000 people in Australia (where Wasn't Expectating That hit number 2 and has subsequently hit double Platinum) and New Zealand. In the past few weeks he has also supported Ed Sheeran on his mammoth UK stadium tour, playing two nights with him at Dublin's Croke Park, along with a headline show at London's Barfly (where Ed jumped on stage to duet on Jamie's track Cold in Ohio).
