Oakham School Gala Concert

With over 300 singers and some amazing repertoire for choir, Oakham School’s Gala Concert in the Cambridge Corn Exchange truly promises to be a Choral Extravaganza! They will celebrate Bernstein’s centenary year with performances of songs from West Side Story, as well as a performance of one of his greatest choral works, Chichester Psalms. Andrew Jones will perform Ferdinand David’s Trombone Concertino in E flat and in a heart-warming finale, massed performers will give the first ever school performance of Jonathan Dove’s spectacular There was a child, which will feature Oakham music scholar Morgan Overton as a lead soloist.
