Vladimir Ashkenazy, one of the world’s greatest musicians, conducts the award-winning Philharmonia Orchestra in this extraordinary concert.

Recently named a BBC New Generation Artist, Esther Yoo displays the full range of her virtuosic skills with a mesmerising interpretation of Sibelius’ Violin Concerto. Before the interval, she will perform the world premiere of Iaulan, a new composition by Pembroke College Cambridge Music Student Jay Richardson, specially commissioned by Cambridge Live and Cambridgeshire Music. Rachmaninov bookends this superlative concert; opening with the spritely fantasia The Rock and concluding with the elegant and vivacious Symphony No.3.
