Three concerts by Corn Exchange resident orchestra The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra; the announcement of Dame Evelyn Glennie as Artist in Residence; a début appearance by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s Principal Conductor Charles Dutoit; Vladimir Ashkenazy conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra; and a new commission by composer Debbie Wiseman are some of the highlights of the 2015/16 Cambridge Classical Concert Series announced today by Cambridge Corn Exchange.
Throughout the series, Cambridgeshire Music and RPO resound will deliver a dynamic range of music education projects to inspire local music students and Evelyn Glennie will be ‘in conversation’, talking about her life in music and her mission ‘to teach the world to listen’ while demonstrating the percussive skill which has earned her such world wide acclaim.
