Cambridge Live confirms improved conferencing offer following the takeover of key Cambridge venues

Cambridge Live has confirmed that it is investing in improved conferencing facilities at two of the city’s most prominent venues, the Cambridge Corn Exchange and Guildhalls.

The new charity, which started trading on 1st April 2015, following the transfer of staff and assets from Cambridge City Council, is responsible for the management and running of the venues as well as the operation of the Cambridge Folk Festival and the city’s portfolio of outdoor entertainments.

In addition to ongoing building improvements, Cambridge Live has focused on key elements of its conference offer across the two spaces to ensure that the venues are positioned as the ideal conference destination. These improvements include: upgrading its internet and WiFi services with flexible packages tailored to meet all business needs that offer improved speeds (now up to 90Mbs), capability for up to 1000 simultaneous users and the ability to provide private networks; enhanced audio-visual and PA facilities and more flexibility over the configuration of space in the venues allowing for an even wider range of conferences and events.

The improved conference offer enables both the Cambridge Corn Exchange, also widely known as the premier entertainment venue in the Eastern region, and the historic Guildhall, to position themselves as the ideal choice in the region for conference and event organisers. The venues can comfortably accommodate between 50 to 1200 delegates offering first-class front of house and production facilities combined with the elegant architectural features of the Grade II Listed historic buildings.
