CAMBRIDGE LIVE UNVEILS LINE-UP FOR
COMEDY LIVE AT THE CORN EXCHANGE!

IT was Edinburgh Fringe all over again at the Corn Exchange this week, when BBC Radio New Comedy Award winner, Steve Bugeja attended the venue to help launch a brand new comedy night for the city. Fresh from the festival famed for launching so many major names in comedy, Steve entertained guests at the launch on Thursday night with a taste of things to come at the new comedy club styled nights.

Beginning this autumn, from 29th October, Comedy Live will present high quality comedy at affordable prices, featuring some of the very best up and coming acts on the scene with ticket options including cabaret table seats, perfect for groups.

The line-up for the first three shows has been announced and BBC New Comedy award winner Lucy Beaumont will headline the opening night. One of the country's most in demand satirists and a regular on Have I Got News For You and 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Matt Forde will headline on 8 December and award winning comedian, writer and broadcaster Jarlath Regan will top the bill on 26 February 2016.

Each show will be hosted by Manchester comedian and regular contributor to XFM's breakfast show and Russell Howard's Good News, Hayley Ellis.

The Grub & Glug menu is the perfect addition to this great night out with the ‘ultimate’ scotch egg, pork scratchings and sharer plates on offer, plus a selection of drinks including a sharer bucket of beers including the Corn Exchange’s very own house ale, Footstomper.

Tickets are just £15 or £5 for students (balcony seats). Group discounts are available under the Bring your Mates rate or book the Laugh a Lot £30 ticket for all three shows!

Neil Jones, Operations Director for Cambridge Live said 'The Corn Exchange has a fantastic reputation for comedy, we want to build on that reputation and bring some of the future stars of comedy to the venue before they hit the big time.'

Comedy Live starts 29th October at Cambridge Corn Exchange at 8pm. Tickets available at www.cornex.co.uk or call 01223 357 851.
