This discount is for those who pay their council tax to Cambridge City Council (or those living in a household which does). Each person with a Cambridge City Resident ticket must provide proof of residence upon arrival at the Festival Wristband Exchange. Failure to provide proof will result in the full cost of the ticket being charged.

Do children under 5 need a ticket?
Yes, everyone needs a ticket. Children under 5 are admitted free but still require a ticket and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Under 14s must be accompanied by a responsible adult on site and ages 14-17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult over 18 on arrival.

I’ve booked my tickets, when will they be delivered?
All tickets will be sent as a print at home ticket to the registered email they were purchased with.

Is camping included with a full festival ticket?

Each tent, awning or canopy will require its own camping ticket.

Cherry Hinton Hall Campsite is the main campsite and is on the same site as the Festival arena and stages. Cherry Hinton Hall Campsite is a beautiful park complete with a duck pond, gardens, lovely trees, and a small country house. The campsite surrounds the main arena and has a wonderful atmosphere. Anyone attending the Festival arriving from Cambridge Rail Station can take a Citi bus towards Cherry Hinton Hall (The Cambridge Folk Festival site). Tickets can be purchased from the bus driver and cost £2. Buses run every 10 minutes and are wheelchair accessible.

If you are camping at Coldham’s Common, you are welcome to park your car next to your tent. However, please note that once parked, you won’t be able to use your vehicle for the remainder of the weekend. If you anticipate needing access to your car, we recommend pitching your tent at Coldham’s Common and then relocating your vehicle to the car park at the top of the site.

Can I bring in my own food and alcohol?
You are permitted to bring food and a reasonable amount of alcohol for personal consumption into your campsite and the arena. Your support in using these facilities contributes to the financial sustainability of the festival. Please remember that no glass is allowed into the arena.

Is there an onsite convenience shop for basic food supplies?
There is no onsite shop providing basic food supplies at the Festival. However, we have various caterers and bars offering food and drinks in the main arena. Additionally, a 24-hour Budgens is situated at the Petrol station opposite the site. Moreover, you can locate a Co-op store at the intersection of Cherry Hinton Road and Perne Road, along with a nearby Tesco store in Fulbourn.
