Open sessions featuring Sligo Live

Open sessions
Impromptu music sessions by members of the audience are encouraged and take place all over the Festival site. They are a very important part of the Festival’s unique atmosphere and we thank these musicians for the great contribution they make towards the event. We encourage you to come together to play music, especially in our new Sessions Café and at Stage 2 after the bands finish.
Sligo Live
This year we are very pleased to have teamed up with Sligo Live, Ireland’s premier folk, roots and indie festival, to bring some of Ireland’s most accomplished young traditional musicians to Cambridge. Tiernan Courell (flute), Richie Delahunty (banjo and guitar), Áine Duffy (concertina), Nell Kelly (fiddle), Donal Linehan (accordion) and Conal McCormack (bodhrán) will entertain with music that captures the emotionand beauty of Sligo’s Wild Atlantic Coast. All musicians are encouraged to join in these informal open sessions.
