TALKS

WOMEN IN MUSIC | 5PM, THE FLOWER GARDEN | FRIDAY
Following its hugely successful debut last year, the 2018 Festival will see the return of the Woman in Music panel discussion. The Festival has always been passionate about equality of our line-up, in 2017 we had an all-female main stage line-up and 2018 sees a brilliant female representation on the bill. This panel will discuss the current challenges women have in the music industry and we can help change this for the better.

MOJO Interview | 1PM, The Flower Garden | Friday
Each year MOJO selects an artist performing at the Festival and in the intimate Club Tent interview in front of a live audience. 2018 sees our Guest Curator Rhiannon Giddens interviewing Peggy Seeger about her extraordinary career and musical history.

ENVIRONMENTAL TALK | 4pm, THE FLOWER GARDEN | FRIDAY
Liz Warwick is our Festival Environmental Manager who oversees all green initiatives and ensures the environment is considered in all our actions. She is also a steering group member of Powerful Thinking, an industry think tank on smarter energy for events and festivals, and works with Energy Revolution, a not-forprofit organisation which invests travel offset donations in renewable energy. In this session, we discuss the Festival’s and music industry’s response to climate change, waste and plastics.

MENTAL HEALTH IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY | 11.30AM, CLUB TENT | FRIDAY
With mental health coming into focus within the music industry, particularly amongst high profile male celebrities, it seemed timely to give a proper platform for discussion surrounding this topic. Join some top mental health professionals as they discuss the increase in mental illness including depression, anxiety and suicide.
