Ensuring the safety of fair-goers is the reason for a decision to cancel the funfair at this year’s Midsummer Fair in Cambridge. The decision follows a review by Cambridge City Council of its plans and approaches to managing events on its open spaces, based on advice from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
