Darren Eedens plays at City Roots following his huge success at the Cambridge Folk Festival Club Tent in 2017
Canadian acoustic musician Darren Eedens is a young man with an old soul. Rooted in the classic honky-tonk, folk and bluegrass traditions, his material has been honed in more than four years of relentless touring.
Equally adept on banjo, mandolin and guitar, he can pick more notes per bar than most people can wrap their heads around; but it's also not uncommon to find him belting out songs using only his voice. Whether they’re held spellbound by a poignant ballad or jumping up and down as one to a stomping groove, Darren’s command of an audience is absolute.
