We’re on the verge of an explosion in machine-led decisions – in healthcare, transport, finance, security, what we watch, where we go, even who we send to prison. Longlisted for the 2018 Royal Society Science Book Prize, Hannah Fry’s Hello World takes us on a tour through the good, the bad, and the downright ugly of the algorithms that surround us. She’ll talk about how machines will influence our human behaviour, our justice systems, and our social and moral values – and whether we should trust them.
