If you have ever seen the film ‘Amadeus’, you will already know (and probably love) the ‘Gran Partita’. ‘It seemed to me I was hearing the voice of God,’ reminisces Mozart’s rival, Salieri, as we hear the sublime strains of the Romanza from the Partita.

 

World-renowned clarinettist, Michael Collins, has assembled a super-group of the UK’s leading wind players to perform this astonishing masterpiece, as well as the overture and selected arias from the ever-popular opera ‘Marriage of Figaro’.
