With awards and commissions from BBC Radio 3, Classic FM, the Royal Opera House and the Philharmonia Orchestra (to name just a few), the amazing talents of the Young Composers Network (YCN) are already proving themselves on the national stage.

YCN is now a regular feature of the Festival. This year, for the first time, three leading composer-performers have been engaged to mentor the composers and perform their works, all led by Huw Watkins, ‘one of the most rounded composer-musicians in the UK’ (Financial Times) renowned for his ‘outstanding pianism’ (The Guardian).

Luke Fitzgerald and Jay Richardson have curated the concert and their music will appear alongside new works by Jacob Fitzgerald, Alexia Sloane, Joanna Ward and Dominic Wills.
