The world-famous baroque quartet Red Priest, led by recorder playing maestro Piers Adams, present a cheering feast of music for all the family performed in their own inimitable, high-octane style!
Expect music by Vivaldi, Bach and Handel as well as a few unsung heroes, in a display of baroque brilliance with a modern twist. Corelli’s Christmas Concerto, Vivaldi’s Winter from the Four Seasons, Van Eyck’s Carol Variations and a suite from Handel’s Messiah provide a seasonal flavour.
"For sheer technical wizardry, charismatic showmanship and expressive devilment, Red Priest is in a exhilarating class of it’s own." (BBC Music Magazine)
"Putting the rock into baroque... Energetic spectacular stage show... Invigorating versions of familiar Vivaldi pieces... The difference is clear: Red Priest have much more fun!" (The Evening Standard)
"Virtuosity, verve and creative spontaneity are fused together in a way that makes the impact positively volcanic.” (Daily Telegraph)
"An unorthodox quartet of virtuoso musicians on a mission to make classical music a visual as well as aural experience... supreme musicians." (The Observer)
