In less than 20 years, the National Youth String Orchestra has become one of the UK’s most prestigious and important training organisations for young string players. It provides specialist, quality training for talented young string players up to the age of 21, and gives them regular experience in the art of public performance, both in the UK and internationally.
Under its director Damian Iorio, NYSO is joined by the Piatti Quartet for a varied and beguiling programme of beloved works by Mozart and Elgar, offset by lesser-known gems by Howells and Josef Suk, violinist and pupil of the great Antonín Dvorák.
