Enchanted Cinema presents THE GREAT GATSBY (12A)

Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan star in Baz Luhrmann’s modern and typically eccentric double-Oscar-winning adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. 

Enchanted Cinema are back. With 2 years of sell out events already under their belts, this summer they’re popping up in the iconic Cambridge location, The Orchard Tea Gardens Grantchester.

With live music from local musicians before the film, deckchairs under the trees of The Orchards draped in lights, street food, an independent pop-up bar, vintage popcorn machines and blankets… their events are all set to be as magical as ever.

There will be street food available from local vendor Kura Kura. They will be serving their delicious Sri Lankan and South Indian curries. We will also have our independent bar running all night serving drinks, freshly-popped popcorn and brownies. We have food and drinks covered so please leave your picnics at home. Local musicians Dickie de Vere and the Dorchester Mavericks will be performing an acoustic set from 8PM.

We are also very excited to be screening an independent short before The Great Gatsby. We’re showing One Diving One Falling directed by Harry Cauty. This beautiful film reflects on a time when women were considered to have a mental illness for expressing themselves creatively through dance, this film explores vulnerability, delusion and insanity, combined with passion, artistry and beauty, giving the suppressed women of the twentieth century a life of performance in the present. We really hope that you will enjoy as much as we have.
