Indoor Games for Awkward Moments
No awkward silences here! Have a go at recreating your own 1920’s party ice breakers inspired by Ruth Blakeley’s 1922 book, Indoor Games for Awkward Moments, which was designed to ‘try to lessen the number of dreadful pauses which so many hostesses have experienced with their guests.’  You’ll get to experience three sets of activities based on sections from the book: Competitions; Paper Games; and Table Games.

Exhibition Hunt
Enjoy the Library’s Tall Tales: Secrets of the Tower exhibition after-hours and take part in a hunt with the chance to win a place on a private tour of the Library’s iconic 157ft tower, where you’ll see the fabled collection for yourself.

Plus Jazz and Cocktails on the Balcony
Inspired by the Library’s beautiful Art Deco design, enjoy some jazz and specially themed cocktails on the indoor balcony overlooking the Entrance Hall.

With a bar provided by Cambridge Wine Merchants, selling cocktails, beer, wine and soft drinks until 9pm.

The Library is fully accessible. More information on access can be found on the library webpage here: http://www.lib.cam.ac.uk/plan-your-visit/readers-disabilities/parking-an... .
