Richard Spaven's widely acclaimed album The Self explores and defies genres, from Drum and Bass to Broken Beat to Dubstep and more. Spaven has gained international recognition and praise for supplying the drums for many artists on stage and in the studio. José James, Guru’s Jazzmatazz, Flying Lotus, The Cinematic Orchestra, TY and more recently Jameszoo.

Skeltr's sumptuous, technically prolific saxophone solos are combined with mysterious samples, synths and loopers for a heart-wrenching and thoughtful cascade of modern and technical soulful funk. Having recently warmed up for KNOWER on their recent UK tour and played alongside Dinosaur at the famous ‘Oslo Jazzscene’ in Norway - Skeltr are making big waves in their first year. Having had their debut album recently played on Jazz FM and earmarked by Giles Peterson as one to watch, Skeltr’s winding musical journey is one not to be missed.

"Richard Spaven is one of the most unique artists in the world.Triple threat drummer, composer, and producer, his voice rings true with clarity and promise. He is the point where jazz meets the worldJosé James (Blue Note Records)

"After a matter of seconds of the opening number, it was clear this was going to be one of those extra special gigs." Paul Bream, Jazz North East

"An electrifying new duo in which Sam Healey’s roaring sax lines soar above Craig Hanson’s drum patterns, electronic soundscapes and samples, manipulated live in the moment: a striking, expansive sound with a buzzing energy at its core." Steve Mead, Manchester Jazz Festival
