It’s also a journey deep into the past, into mysterious prehistory, as she goes in search of the Iron Age ancestors we call the Celts – their lives, their art, their technology, their knowledge and beliefs. She explores a world where battles were fought with the mighty Mediterranean empires of Greece and Rome, where warriors were worshipped as gods, and where princes and princesses were buried with dazzling gold treasure. These ancestors may have lived over two millennia ago, but they still help us to construct our identities today.
