Music, song and dance can be enjoyed in the Mela Performance Marquee, with acts from Natyanjali Dance School and Sanskruti School of Dance.

12noon - 12.45: Indian Cultural Society

1pm - 2pm: Cambridge Carnatic

Cambridge Carnatic are a group of local South-Indian Classical Musicians who meet for practices and regularly perform throughout Cambridge.  We have individually performed extensively in the UK, USA and India and bring together a rich variety of instruments, styles and traditions.  We hope we can convey the joy, beauty and fun of Carnatic music through our performance and are happy to answer questions from anyone interested in the art.

2pm - 3pm: Natyanjali Dance School and Samarpana Classical Arts 

Natyanjali Dance School is a performing arts school, with centres in Cambridge and Sawston, where we train children and adults in the South Indian Art Form of Bharatanatyam. We have performed at various platforms , charity functions, village fetes etc. We also organise workshops for schools.

Samarpana classical arts is a grassroot level community based Organisation based in Cambridge. We were formed with the simple intention of providing a practice environment for trained Bharatanatyam dancers who wanted to keep I touch with their dancing. We have received acclaimed reviews for our performances at the ADC, Dakshina which was our annual show, etc. We were also the winners of Indian Raga Global Dance Challenge.

3pm - 3.45pm: Karmic Version

An Indian Soft Rock band based in the UK. Karmic version distinguishes itself with extreme passion for playing live music. A bunch of friends, all working professionals with several years of formal

training in music between the, they joined hands as karmic version to share their individual taste to perform live on stages. Their genre of music is a blend of Indian/Bollywood and soft rock, in Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil languages mostly – so, expect drums and lead guitar and mostly no tabla or sitar! Karmic version has been performing on various stages in London, midlands and the north-west since 2014, with their amazing audience rocking with them, bums off the chairs.

4pm - 6.45pm: Sanskruti School of Dance

6.55pm - 7.05pm: Sukhaatma - Bollywood Dance Class

Life in these modern times has become increasingly mechanical, robbing us of the sensitivity to our True nature. The creation of Sukhaatma is to impart the ways of Conscious, Healthy, Sensitive and Joyous life for the greater good of all! Sukhaatma's dance and yoga classes are a humble start to this exhilarating journey!

7.15pm - 8pm: Roshnii Margi healing and dance

Vidya Math runs the Roshni Margi Indian dance training and performance facility in Cambridge. Today, Vidya will be performing Contemporary Kathak to a selection of Indian and British music pieces and will then be offering a Bollywood dance workshop for participants from the audience.
