Current Opportunities

Register now to assist with Cambridge's Bonfire Night Charity Bucket Collection

The City Events team are seeking volunteer bucket collectors for the 2018 Fireworks Display on Midsummer Common to undertake the cash donation collection between 5.30-8.30pm on Monday 5th November 2018.

There will be a voucher for a free meal and drink for use at participating catering stalls given to everyone who kindly takes part in the collection.

This free event is organised by Cambridge Live to create a safe environment for the people of Cambridge to celebrate Bonfire Night. You are helping to collect money towards the cost of the display and to support the organising charity, Cambridge Live who deliver free City Events that bring diverse communities together. Whilst the Council provide considerable funding and despite donations and sponsorship from businesses, it is not enough money to pay for all the costs and so we are dependent on donations from the public. In order to keep it admission free, we are asking that everyone give at least £3 to help preserve this free event for our community.
