To mark the 450th anniversary of the birth of Claudio Monteverdi, the 2017 Cambridge Early Music Baroque course will be devoted to Venetian music, and in particular to exploring Monteverdi's legacy. Join us in Girton College Great Hall as the students of the 2017 Baroque course showcase some of the works explored during the week, beginning with Monteverdi, taking in some of his followers and successors such as Francesco Cavalli and Giovanni Antonio Rigatti, and finishing with Vivaldi.

The main entrance to Girton College (leading to the Porter's Lodge) is directly off Huntington Road. However, those coming by car should enter through the Girton Road entrance, where parking is available. The main building can then be accessed through the Old Kitchens Door. Signs will be displayed at both the Porter's Lodge entrance and the Old Kitchens entrance leading to the Great Hall.

Cambridge Early Music is a registered Charity whose core activites involve running two early music summer schools each year, putting on an annual concert series is Cambridge, and carrying out other educational work with young people.
